Privacy policy

Your Opportunity Cost (youropportunitycost.com) is a set of free calculators. We don't ask for your name, email, or an account, and we don't sell personal information.

What you type into the calculators

Your numbers are processed entirely in your browser. They are never sent to us or stored by us. If you use "Copy link" or "Share," your inputs are included in that link so whoever opens it sees the same result. Only share links you're comfortable sharing.

What your browser stores

If you switch between light and dark mode, that choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it. It never leaves your device, and you can clear it in your browser settings.

Hosting

The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Fonts

Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives standard request information such as your IP address. See Google's privacy policy.

Analytics and advertising

We don't currently use analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies. If we add them, we'll update this page first to name the providers, explain what they collect, and describe how to opt out.

Children

This site is meant for a general audience and doesn't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
